Giving Statements

Giving statements are easy to run in Connection Card Pro! Our Giving Statements are statements showing both tax-deductible and non-tax-deductible amounts given. These statements are nice for your donors to see everything they have given, including money for items such as t-shirts, study books, etc. (if extra items were recorded in their giving record). Giving Statements are great for distributing to your donors once or twice throughout the year. These statements are a way for your organization to say thank you and show them a YTD report of their giving.

These statements are also a great way to make sure your records are right, that all donations have been entered and entered correctly and marked as tax-deductible so when it comes time to run your end-of-year tax receipts you will have a much smoother process!

Giving Statements are different than your End of Year Tax Receipts, which is required for tax purposes, and just show their tax-deductible donations. Tax Receipts are due January 31st of each year, so it is always a good idea to print, send or email their Tax Receipts out the first part of January! To run your Year-End Tax Receipts, go to Accounting > Year End Tax Receipts.

To Run Giving Statements for All Donors

From the menu:
Reports > Financial Reports

NOTE: If you find errors where donations were not entered, or the wrong amount was entered, you can correct these errors either by Viewing that person’s profile page, click on their giving tab and go down to the “Giving Details” box and click the edit icon. Or these can also be corrected in the Registers page.

To Run Individual Giving Statements

Giving Statements can be accessed/printed/emailed from the Person list.

Person List > Batch Action > Download Giving Statements or Email Giving Statements
