Setting Up Your Account to Accept Payments (in the U.S.)

With Connection Card Pro’s included online giving, all donations and payments given through Connection Card Pro are automatically recorded in your ledger, saving you time and work! We will walk you through setting up your Connection Card Pro account to accept online donations and payments.

You must complete the Payment Processing setup first before accepting online donations and registration payments.

If you are in the U.S., you will see an option to choose which payment partner you would like to use. Our payment partners have the highest level of PCI compliance, process billions of dollars in transactions and are trusted by some of the largest businesses and non-profits in the world.

Once you have completed the Application process confirming your Organizations Name, contact information, and identity verification and received approval, your organization will be able to start accepting donations and payments through credit/debit card and ACH!

Connection Card Pro will become your payments provider. Your organization name will appear on your donors’ and customers’ bank statements.

To Set Up Payment Processing

From the menu:
Account > Giving Setup

You are now able to begin using Connection Card Pro to accept donations and payments by credit/debit cards or ACH.

IMPORTANT: If you choose Fortis, you will receive some emails to guide you along the process for PCI compliance approximately 1-2 weeks after approval. We’ve worked with Fortis to simplify the PCI compliance process, but the self-certification assessment will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please be sure to complete this assessment to avoid being charged a non-compliance fee. You will receive an annual or quarterly email (depending on your account) to reaffirm your PCI Compliance status.

If you choose Stripe, all PCI compliance will be handled automatically by us and you will not be required to complete a PCI compliance self-assessment.

As donations come in, you should be able to see them in two places:

1.  In Accounting > View Registers - In whichever register you have selected in the Giving Setup. These are ledger transactions automatically recorded when donations occur.

2.  You can view all transactions, including failed transactions, in Accounting > Financial Settings > Payment Processing Logs.

You can generate Financial reports in Reports > Financial Reports, where you will see several report options here. Or, from the Register page (Accounting > View Registers), on the top right is an Export to CSV button which will export all of your transactions.
